9 Firefighters from
Paddington LFB are running the 2018 Virgin London Marathon to raise £70,000 to help the victims and families of the Grenfell Tower. In full firefighting gear and whilst wearing BA sets!
This is by no means a small feat, as the fire gear alone weighs 15kg add to that the BA sets which weigh in excess of 15kg also. Thats 30kg of extra kit!

@samsparkes from the RPU in Bedfordshire is cycling the @bedsunitytour for @ukcops in remembrance of PC Jon Henry. Please support her in her 180 mile journey by donating in the link our bio!! It’s such an amazing cause!!! She said “Nobody should ever go to work and not come home.
But on June 11th 2007 Bedfordshire Police officer, PC Jon Henry, attended an early morning town centre incident in Luton where he was attacked and tragically lost his life, leaving behind his wife Mary and their young daughter Maggie. I was the Family Liasion Officer that had to collect and tell Mary the devastating news. A day I’ll never forget.
All members of the police family feel the loss of colleagues and it is really important that we support those that they leave behind. Charities, such as COPS are really important at providing care and support to the officer's wider family and so I am delighted to be cycling with a team from Bedfordshire Police to raise money for COPS.” Please help and sponsor! Even if it is just a little! Please also feel free to share away!! 💪👏
