The giant inhales. Admiring these colorful mountains for 3 consecutive days was one the highlights of my last trip to Iceland. So stoked to share this new series with you in the following weeks. 🤙🏻 #beyondthelands_ #iceland
Facing the giant. Hiking up to this spot on a glacier and documenting a serious tour was one of the coolest experiences I had last year. In association with @trollexpeditions . Shot with @sonyalpha a7sii & 70-300 G lens. #sonyalpha#sony70300g .
Flying high around the lonely mountain. This is one of my favourite spots in Iceland, I just love to have a stop here on the route to Thórsmörk. The river patterns are mindblowing around this area, especially when you admire them through the windows of a little plane. #beyondthelands_ #iceland
The area that showed me something entirely different than the mountains I’ve been to in the past 15 years. This is the site of the infamous 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. Standing on top of 8 years old rocks was one of the most surreal experiences I’ve ever had. Around me everything was covered in snow, two glacial caps, Myrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajökull throwing cold winds into my face and small craters as tiny cones pointing out from the snow so red as they were on fire. #beyondthelands_ #iceland
So much things to see, so much story to tell. What you see here: a glacier river cuts through the deep black rock desert and runs towards the lowlands, bypassing several obstackles on its way like that huge mountain in the background. What you don’t see here: at the bottom of the picture there is a very young waterfall (less than 100 years old), a huuuuge glacier lake and long tongue of an icecap behind it. #beyondthelands_ #iceland
Burning world. It was another hectic but epic day on the Highlands. We drove 14 hours on the edge of the watery clouds searching for these red craters. Rain and sunshine followed each other as I stopped in every 5 minutes to fly my drone. Such a surreal feeling to see these sleeping giants after admiring them on Google Earth for months. #beyondthelands_ #iceland
