Nick & Amy at the Guelph Arboretum this past weekend. We stumbled upon these resilient orange leaves that made it through the winter! It was also SO cold out, but these two were troopers with the wild weather. Can I also say, it’s ALWAYS the best when you and your partner are simply being yourselves. You feel comfortable and so does everyone around you.
I know a lot of people spend many hours planning for a wedding, but often things don’t go as planned. And there’s so many things that are out of our control.
Michelle & Matt planned for snow, but we got rain so luckily the Distillery District was so accommodating and we got this amazing industrial space.
If you can roll with the punches, your wedding day will be perfect even if things don’t line up the way you expect it to.
Isn’t that life? Embrace the imperfections and unexpected.
Michelle & Gareth look so classy here. I spent most of yesterday prepping for all the weddings I have coming up for 2018 and I’m really excited. I have limited bookings for 2018 so hit me up!
Second shot for @mandyblakeweddings
Anyone else nervous when they see a kid pulling on curtains like this? Luckily nothing bad happened and little Daniel jumped down right after I took this frame.
Family sessions have been going well and I’m really excited about the few I have coming up!
I’m taking 20% off sessions for this month so click on the link above for some more info.
I’m having so much fun editing these family sessions. It’s amazing that families will let me spend so much time with them to document their everyday life.
I want to share with you some of my favourites from the Gingerich family session I did a few weeks back. They were the first family I shot where I didn’t know them at all. It was such a fun experience and I’m really looking forward to all the other families I will be meeting.
C H I C A G O! I’m coming for you next week! Mamas and papas, if you’d like a documentary family session, go to my link above and contact me! I’ve already got 3 sessions lined up and would love to do some more.
Right now I’m taking 25% off anyone who books with me, so don’t be shy.
Big news friends! I’ve decided to start documenting real families doing everyday real life things. I am now offering documentary family sessions for families who aren’t that interested in the posed, contrived and forced family portraits. Nothing is staged, I’m not entertaining your kids and you don’t have to stress about matching your outfits, getting your kid to smile and be happy for pictures.
I genuinely value real moments and want to help you document the essence of your family.
Authenticity is like a buzzword that has lost its meaning as people use it to describe fake but beautiful moments. I want to bring it back to it’s true meaning.
If you’re interested in this, click the link above and see what I’ve done so far. I’d love to meet your family and see what you are all about.
Yesterday was FREEZING but Andreia & Thiago didn’t care. Lake Ontario normally isn’t this pretty but it was so blue yesterday so we had to do some photos really close to the water.
I used to come to the Bluffs with my family during the summer but it was nice to see it in a different season
Happy Monday everyone!
Things are a bit slow these days but it’s ok. I get to rest, dream, hang out with family and friends. And I’ve been editing Maxine & Mark’s wedding so here’s one of my favourites from that day.
Are Fridays for introductions? Is that a thing? I forget. I haven’t been on my phone as much and it feels good to know that I’m NOT in the know with social media lingo.
Well, there are a lot of new faces here so I thought I’d say hello! I’m Hannah - a photojournalist who loves to shoot real life weddings. I love to travel and explore new places but at the same time I’m such a homebody and loving being in my sweatpants.
I also have something I’ve been working on that I will be launching very soon so keep following!
I always get excited about these first looks. And it’s not just about how the guy reacts but how the connection between the two parts when they see each other for the first time. The anticipation is so exciting!
I delivered Michelle & Matt’s photos yesterday and it made me relive the whole day again.
