We’re reposting our work on the History of the LGBTQ+ Community in the United States. Chapter 01 is about IDENTITY, and the creation of the word HOMOSEXUAL. In the next few days be on the look out as we’re posting the remaining chapters of the project on IG. We’d love to hear your stories on #stonewall50!
• Buenas noches amigos viajeros🌠 • • #greenwichvillagenyc#nycphotography ...
In partnership with the NYC Commission on Human Rights, Mastercard installed a rainbow of signs yesterday at the corner of Christopher & Gay streets to affirm that #acceptancematters. 🗽🌈👌Follow us @Chrisvey15 Let’s comment below↙️↙️ #chrisvey15
My colleagues decided it was time to update one of the most famous street corners in Manhattan. #pride is about celebrating the diversity of *all* sexual orientations and gender identities. We know that #acceptancematters and that inclusion begins at home 🏳️🌈
Oh how we love this! #repost @nycpride • • • • • • Proud of this city for really supporting WorldPride this year. Thanks to @nycchr and @mastercard for these signs of acceptance on the iconic crossroads of Gay Street and Christopher Street in the West Village. #worldpride
Incredibly proud of the late nights, thoughtfulness, and creativity that @toniab123 put in these last few months to make her idea a reality. Grateful to have a partner who cares so deeply for our community (and for me 😝). #acceptancematters#happypride

It has been a hell of a month and a half but well worth every late or sleepless night. So thankful to work with people like @toniab123 who, with her creative partner Morgan, came up with this beautiful idea. So thankful to work with so many fun and positive people. So many many other things. So tired. Love each other. #acceptancematters 🏳️🌈❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #mastercard

Today we partnered with @mastercard, the Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit, @nyc_dot and many more to crate Acceptance Street. The installation is a literal sign that everyone should be accepted no matter what. #acceptancematters
For the next two weeks our Gay Street has taken on many colors and names to welcome #worldpride to #nyc. We hope you have a wonderful time here and that we can all celebrate how far we’ve come in the last 50 years since and all that we can independently as well as collectively become in the next 50.
Amazing. To be honest, from the time I moved here almost 30 years ago, I kinda wondered if Gay Street was named for the gays or if it was just coincidental that a street was named for someone with the last name Gay right in the middle of what became the Gayborhood. I considered myself decidedly educated that it was the former when I saw this video, but @melissa4queens in comments on Facebook informed me that it is indeed the latter. Regardless who it’s named for, it’s queer now. Happy Pride! #repost @cathyrenna with @get_repost ・・・ It’s not ...
