Fasted bicep curls.
Before we go any further.
I 💙 muscles. Particularly strong arms. I know bicep curls ain't exactly functional but I love them guns. 💪
I've been reading about this idea that working out fasted is very beneficial BUT it's also really good to stay fasting AFTER your workout because when you stress your body through exercise, you cause a beneficial release of muscle building hormones like testosterone and human growth hormone as well as stimulating muscle building protein synthesis.
Whereas if you were immediately to have your protein shake or meal, you're interrupting that natural body repairing process and turning on the digestion process which releases different hormones, including that naughty insulin.
I barely workout and ,technically speaking, I dont eat enough animal protein but I'm still seeing a significant improvement in my musculature week on week. (Especially noticeable when I watch a video of myself. 🙈) I fast often.
I'm starting cross fit this week too in an effort to increase the buffness.

Anyone else know about this fasting AFTER a workout? Am I understanding it correctly?
