Along @thenatcheztrace you’ll find a haunting and beautiful reminder of a once-thriving community first settled in the late 1700s. Rocky Springs Methodist Church still stands watch over the historic site. Be sure to include it on your #mississippiroadtrip this summer! . . . . . #exploremississippi
We found a church in the middle of the woods earlier this weekend and Mark played us some hymns on the piano. We were able to help some people unload their car to set up for a wedding happening later that day. Definitely an unexpected blessing and the highlight of that day!! ⛪️🌲 || #photoaday#exploretocreate
Two Hunts = Priceless Memories! With a slow afternoon hunt yesterday, and only a few does and a black bear to be seen, Juliannah Grace got her first deer this morning in the first hour of the hunt! As we waited in excitement for the sun to come up, deer moving into the food plot, we said a short prayer to send a buck in our path! At just a few minutes before 7:00am this guy walked into our view and with a little help/coaching from her daddy, we steadied the crosshairs on the deer and sent some lead ...
the four of us camping together sounded like a terrible idea because we all packed in thirty seconds and only brought hot dogs and starbucks coffee for food. but in reality, we were able to make a fire, we didn’t die, and we giggled all night. you can see in the last picture how much i was thriving after being one with nature for 24 hours. i LOVE these girls and not even the natchez trace wilderness could tear us apart.
It's International Day of Happiness. Yesterday was perfection. The weather was beautiful. Got some time on the crick with some of my scooter trash goons. AND I have some really big changes coming up in my life that I couldn't be more stoked about! 😎
PlanB: storms & miles (age) conspire to keep me from reaching Franklin Road Academy on time; I'll skip end of Natchez Trace to fetch car then leapfrog my way along the route to Canada. Quiet until line next week. All good. PJC
