January 2016 // Early on in the travels, living in the van was an interesting mix of alone time and then bursts of togetherness along the way. Fun fact, in the second photo I had made it approximately 3 feet onto the sand at Pacific City before getting stuck. A nice fella in a big truck pulled up and pulled me out of the sand, but not before I got a quick photo.
Misty morning 🌧. And then the sun 🌞 came out and shone upon us. Landscaping one house and remodeling another. I do the contracting work myself, and today I was shoveling topsoil and tossing rocks. And moving sod. #workismypassion Tired? Yep. Luckily our beautiful views always feed my soul. #manzanitabeachlife ...
Shooting couples who feel the same craziness and share the same energy as I charge me for upcoming season! This is Courtney and Marcell who I get to shoot tomorrow during @letsgoworkshop and I can’t freaking wait! @courtneymeili @papermonday #letsgoworkshop2019#oregonacoast
Swipe 👉🏼 to watch a funny video from this evening and hear me laugh ridiculously 😂 I actually cried. It still makes me chuckle and I’ve now watched it wayyyy too many times. My sister was helping my husband remove some broken tree branches left over from the storm. I die 😂😭 who are the people in your life that just crack you up? These two can really get me going 🤣
we took too long chillin/having fun on this beach that we had to drive down the coast at night... and let me tell ya... wouldn’t recommend. It was rainy, foggy, and we ended up sleeping in the car.. aka the premise of every scary movie ever!? #worthitintheend 😂

leaving everything you’ve ever known and starting new has been the wildest, strangest, and beautiful adventure i’ve had so far in life. 10/10 would highly recommend. if you dream it, make it a reality. it won’t be easy but nothing good ever is at first💕
Sometimes the empty space isn’t so empty, it’s filled with all kinds of love + emotions. Just two little lovebirds in their own little world, totally and completely smitten with each other. ✨ . . . #sydneemariephoto#boiseweddingphotographer
I just spilled Corona perfectly down the front of my jeans where it looks like I peed myself. The best part? It was at a benefit in my small home town in a suuuuper packed restaurant. Billy Madison would be proud.
Here’s a detail shot from a styled shoot I planned a year ago. There’s more from this styled elopement on my blog! I can’t believe it’s been a year! Any creatives out there interested in collaborating on a styled shoot with me? I’m looking to build a community of folks in Portland interested in sharing ideas and working on projects together. Bling 💍✨ Did you pick out your ring, or did your fiancé/spouse surprise you? Or if there’s no ring yet, do you know what you want someday? I had no idea what I wanted. We browsed a couple of times and I always picked something different 😂 helpful, I know. (I am still indecisive, especially when it comes to food...poor guy🤪). In the end, he chose the ring and I have always loved it. It is perfect for me. Comment with your ring story! 👇🏼 // #ringshot
Can you spot a tiny Erin in this amazing landscape? Every couple of minutes, a big wave would crash into the rocks and make a huge boom that sounded like thunder. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more powerful place in nature
It was a classic blustery Oregon Coast weekend with Jill and Malika visiting from Chicago. We stayed at Nehalem Bay State Park in the T@B and were cozy warm between outings. So glad it all worked out and that we didn't let a little rain scare us away:) The reason we got the T@B trailer was for weekends just like this so we could not be deterred in the off-season. They got the true Oregon experience that's for sure! We played on the sand dunes, went to see Haystack Rock (from Goonies!) at Cannon Beach, saw Hug Point at low ...

What we don’t see fully is the stuck #vanagon. See, it’s all about perspective! | Or maybe it’s all about likes and follows... either way like this post and tag a friend to spread the word 🤙 | Photo by #vanlife OG @jamesbarkman shot on with
It doesn’t get much more coastal than this region. And thanks to a pioneering beach bill, all 363 miles of Oregon’s coastline remain free and public. That means endless opportunities to comb for agates or glass floats, catch your own Dungeness crab or razor clam, watch for whales, seals and puffins, make footprints in the sand or simply be captivated by a winter storm from inside a cozy beachfront lodge. No matter the season, the Oregon Coast is a rejuvenating getaway || Beautiful photo taken by @musical__mermaid || Join us in exploring the Upper Left by tagging your adventures to ...

Today really starts our PNW elopement season. We’re packing up the car for our first “work” road trip, heading down to the Oregon coast. Can’t wait to binge podcasts on the drive, camp out by the ocean, and hang with two extremely excited people tomorrow to photograph what’s bound to be an epic day 😆 Any new podcast recommendations are always welcome! We have one for all you other road trippers out there - Root of Evil. Crazy story about a crazy family and their link to the suspected Black Dalia killer 😱 (we kind of have a thing for ...
