warning long post: lies i tell myself: 1- you have never been athletic 2- you’ll never jump on those knees 3- you have pushed hard enough. then your dad sends a 30 year old picture that reveals the #bullshit this is 16 year me. that looks athletic to me. then this morning i looked at the #wod and saw double unders and immediately started figuring out how i was going to avoid them. then my coach @im_a.smith asked how my jump rope was coming and i realized i needed to do at least as many as i could. she captured me in action and there is proof. i can jump. so now that i have proven myself wrong what do i do? i jump more. i jump higher. and i trust the process. all gifts from #crossfit and the people at @bigskycrossfit who knew before i did what i could do.

what i love about #crossfitlife is that it meets so many of my personal values. the hero workouts are more than 100 workouts named after fallen service members and first responders. this week we are doing one a day. this was today’s, and it sucked but every time i wanted to #halfass it i thought how much nate’s family would give for a chance to do this with him and pushed through. #neverforget
