My kids are both so ridiculously cute that they could both be models. And they are just as beautiful inside as they are on the outside. I’m more proud of these two than anything in my life.

A blurry picture of a picture- here’s my very first band, called Wayward Son. An alt rock power trio, this was my first shot at writing lyrics, guitar, and sometimes bass lines. I learned a lot in a few short years with that band, played quite a few gigs, over used a Boss Heavy Metal pedal, and got a real taste for a positive crowd reaction to songs I was writing and performing. I went through a lot inside my own head in those days, and I’m sometimes amazed I made it through, but I wouldn’t trade those days or ...

Morning sounds.. that there still looks like a country rig, right? Geez. Looks like this dude’s grunge/punk days are crawling back up again. I’m gonna be the old guy playing grunge.. 😬 The Road From Hell is coming at ya soon, with my country side all over it. The second EP might get a lil loud and heavy. 😏

So... time to release the first single off of The Road From Hell soon? Real soon? Early February soon? Yeah. That sounds real good to me. Keep your eyes and ears peeled and attached to our social media (check us out on Twitter @moonlitroadband) for some announcements, some opportunities to see us perform, and who knows, maybe even a cool prize or two! Tell your friends. We’re comin’ for ya!!! Sort of. We’re actually a group of real nice guys, but we’re real nice guys who know that we need and value your support to make our dreams real. The ...

I post a lot of pictures of guitars. That’s because I play the guitar. If I played bass or the drums.. same deal. I’d post a lot of that. Today I’m hanging with a pair of Strats.

Getting the full band in a shot is almost impossible- it rarely happens. Getting a shot where “Just Jake” is facing our way at the same time... NEVER happens. Ever. So this one is a real treat!

It’s kinda funny, because in this picture it looks like he’s more country and I’m rock ‘n’ roll, but in reality it’s the other way around. My punk days are behind me now. 😝

I’ve got one eye closed, but as far as I know, good old Joel there might have ‘em both closed. He seems to be able to play that way. I gotta have one eye open so I can peak at what I’m doing AND keep an eye out for my supper.

After guitar playing had started to get a little bland for me, and I got sick of doing it for awhile, I “discovered” SRV in my listening travels. He blew my socks off, and still does every time his music comes on. I’ve rarely watched footage of someone playing with such passion for what they do- and pretty much purely by instinct. Seemed like he just grabbed the Strat and pulled on the strings until the neck was ready to come off. Wow. Now, any time I feel like the guitar has gotten dry, I turn on SRV again, and ...

It’s an awesome feeling to play with a killer band. Pretty hard to beat. There’s maybe a handful of things that do. One of those things is when your son jumps up to jam with you because he’s been so excited to “be your back up dancer Daddy!!!” ever since he watched the Taylor Swift concert on Netflix. Being a dad is amazing; it’s the greatest accomplishment I’ve ever had and ever will have. And what a wonderful feeling it is to see your children run towards you with a big grin on their faces as you play songs you’ve ...
