Famous for its Moai statues & for being one of the world’s most remote islands, Rapa Nui was given the name Easter Island when Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen came across the island on Easter Sunday in 1722. Where’s your favourite place to spend the Easter break? 📷 by @salvarezphoto
If you've been to Paris, you'd no doubt remember seeing the beautiful @notredamedeparis. We send our thoughts to Paris on this sad day as one of their most iconic & prominent buildings is devastated, along with over 850 years of history. . . 📷 by @arquitetapage
Repost from @visit 🔁 “Located in Tianjin, China, the Tianjin Binhai Library is a five-story book haven that spans 362,744 square feet. The building features floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that are able to hold 1.2 million books and a large, spherical auditorium at its center, of which the library derives its nickname, "the Eye." Some sections of the library don’t contain books at all, but simply the illusion of them, using patterned wallpaper to instill a greater sense of wonder in its visitors.” - @visit . . 📸: @harimaolee
The journey on the Indian Pacific finished up today, heading into the stunning Blue Mountains in New South Wales. A trip to Scenic World for spectacular views from the lookouts and cable cars finished off the trip beautifully.
