We took this photo while passing by one of the many shops throughout the city!! @pointsandtravel explains: “The Carnival of Venice dates back to the 12th century, where elaborate dress and masks were an integral part of this celebration. Venice masks were part of the early day theater. To my surprise, I would learn that the mask was also worn as part of the everyday life for the Venetians up until the 17th century when they were outlawed. The Venice masks were a way to hide your identity and social status.” . . . . . . #ilovetravel ...
We love this quote : “Traveling is like flirting with life. It’s like saying, ‘I would stay and love you, but I have to go; this is my station” 😉 what do you guys think??? . . . . . . #ilovetravel#travelogue
🇮🇹 In Venice the streets are made of water 🛶 😍 It feels like you are transported to another time. This is like no other place we’ve been 🙂 . . . . . #ilovetravel#travelogue

To warmer days in Venice! 🇮🇹 We heard a lot of good things about Venice before we went so we thought that maybe it wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it exceeded our expectations!! It was just beautiful. The rivers cutting through the city and bridges everywhere made it magical 😁😍🇮🇹 . . . . . . #ilovetravel#travelogue
The beautiful details at the roof of the Duomo di Milano!! These are flying buttresses in the photo. Don’t ask us to explain the definition exactly lol. Our architecture degrees didn’t teach us much I guess 😝 We got to walk the perimeter of the roof and on top as well. Lina was scared as hell (she’s majorly afraid of heights lol) . . . . . . #ilovetravel#travelogue
