Up the main stairway of the Jaleb Chowk, the first level courtyard of the Amer Fort, houses the Diwan-i-Aam or the Public Audience Hall. . Built with a double row of columns, Diwan-i-Aam is a raised platform with 27 colonnades, each of which is mounted with an elephant-shaped capital, with galleries above it. . As the name suggests, the Raja(King) held audience here to hear and receive petitions from the public. . #diwaniaam#surajpol

The palace was built by Raja Man Singh in 16th century. This palace is also known for the bollywood legendary movie “Mughal-e-Azam” iconic song “Jab pyar kiya to darna kya”. Was spell bound and how!!

Walk as the royals did through the Suraj Pol (Sun Gate) entrance of Amer Fort and you'll find the primary courtyard, known as Jaleb Chowk. It's here that the king's soldiers assembled and paraded themselves around. The other entrance used by commoners Chand Pol (Moon Gate) also leads into this courtyard. . #surajpol#chandpol

“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, in order to avoid facing their own Soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” 🕯 Thank you so much for that crazy realisation 🙏👁 @dot_matrix_tattoo #growing#consciousness
