How to make garden magic: 1) Save bones from deer (or other hunted animal) kill 2) Make bone broth with bones 3) Throw boiled bones into your next bonfire 4) Mix cooled bone and wood ash into your garden beds #eatwhatyoukill#bonebroth
While editing this video for YouTube I noticed the fish decided to take a dump on my hand 🍑💩. After close examination of the poop it’s been concluded that the great Garibaldi loves to eat various invertebrates and green peas.
You guys know me. I like to use as much of the animal as I can, if I’m going to hunt with the intention of taking its life. That’s nothing new, so here is yet another pair of dried out Snowshoe Hare feet that I will either give away to some fly tying aficionado, save for that “maybe one day I will need them” scenario, or grind the bone down and make them into obnoxiously large lucky hare’s feet keychains. I will say this though - there’s is nothing else on planet earth that feels the same as the fur ...

Day 6 of 7 in Oregon for the Elk Addicts state series, we have another awesome bull from EA member Tobby watts. "I snuck in on this heard and watched this bull chase a cow around for a while. He finally came about 25 yards and I stuck him. Only went about 50 yards and stood there looking at his cows... dropped about 1 min latter." #oregon#oregonoutdoors

Honestly, These are still my favorite earrings to date. Made with elk hide and seed beads : turquoise, silver, & matte black. Sooo lightweight and easy on the ears. (I'm in love with this length and will stick with it for a while longer probably.) They are the first pair I ever made! I gifted them to a cousin for her birthday, and I'm so happy they live on. 🙃 I'm looking forward to making more. I've been playing with patterns and ideas... crescent moons, geometric, abstract... I'm excited to continue branching. Maybe brighter colors? Maybe symbols? Time ...
Well that's the last of the game birds from my freezer so I rustled up some Pheasant Goujons w/ Rocket, Tomato & Mustard Mayo. Super easy and even my kids loved them which is a brucie bonus. *Goujons do not photograph well. Recipe . Get seven Pheasant breasts and cut them in half lengthways. . Coat them in flour>egg>breadcumbs. . Fry them in a fryer at 190 until golden brown, remove from heat and serve. . Assemble with salad & dressing of your choice. . #wildpheasant#pheasantgoujons ...
This is what you can expect when you put a distillery owner, a hunter, two chefs and some hard core wine and food connoisseurs into one cabin. 12 hours of eating wild game in numerous shapes and forms from at least 5 different species. Tenderloins, fillets, backstrap, roasts, ground and yes, moose nuts😳. And not to mention a constant flow of cocktails and premium wine. #moose#roedeer
