on a tuesday?! absolutely.
i did a lot yesterday between my workout, deep cleaning our house, moving furniture upstairs, and prepping for our trip to ohio... and i woke up this morning to one hell of a sore back!
i took it easy and did some light yoga, but could barely make it through 10 minutes.
it is so very important to listen to your body. there’s a difference between achy muscles that just need to get moving again and needing to rest completely to avoid injury. i moved mine as best i could and settled for option 2 today!
so if you need me, i’ll be chillin with my fur babies on the couch and getting my newest fit babes all set up for my upcoming fitness group! ✌🏻🖤

i've been so so so busy. yesterday was my first day at the gym after 3 days off. i'm moving and i've found my dream apartment: it's close to my gym, 2 bedrooms, and beautiful. *
also peep my shirt: #selflove is so important. take time for yourself. i've been under so much stress and taking a second to take care of myself has been extremely helpful to my well-being.
also i'm cutting and it's going the best i've had in a cut yet. ✌
i have this mantra i say to myself when i start running. i say, “no judgement, only observation.” that first mile and especially the first couple steps of a run can feel sluggish, sore, and uncoordinated. i’m not allowed to make a judgment call on those feels though, i can only observe them. 99% of the time those minor discomforts will fade and i will start to enjoy my run. if i had judged it straight out of the gate though, i would have turned around and gone home without even truly starting. 🌀pro tip🌀➡️ in running, in labor (for you mom’s out there😉) and in any other challenging ventures...don’t judge the pain or the discomfort. observe but don’t judge. this allows your body to come to it’s own conclusion without your mind directing it down a rabbit hole. 🌀 what mantras do you use to get through a run or a tough workout?

total fan-girl speechless moment during the photo opp i earned while in mexico with @joelfreemanfitness ! i really wanted to thank him for pushing me out of my comfort zone to try his martial arts style fitness with core de force. for teaching me how to take my pre-workout straight up out of the scoop instead of mixing it with water. ha! .
i am sharing this photo because i found out some exciting news last week! i have been accepted into a coaches only test group where joel freeman, the creator/trainer of our newest program, liift4, will be leading coaches and teaching us how to best help our vip clients with this program beginning july 16! sweet!
i am excited about liift4 because i can tell it is different from anything we have offered before.the goal is to get amazing results by working out just 4 days a week for only 30 - 40 minutes. yep. read that again! you will have time to live! or rest. or run! or bike! or play! 💙 .
it’s weight lifting plus hiit (high intensity interval training) plus core work! the nutrition plan is basic. no fasting or cutting out food groups, just down to earth healthy eating that is actually sustainable and easy to do for the long haul. there is also room in the nutrition plan for treats and alcohol! 🙌🏻🍷perfect for summer! .
i know that anyone, regardless of how busy you are, can do this program! i mean let’s be real, if you aren’t willing to commit to working out 4 days a week for 30 minutes then what the heck else is going to motivate you?! this is an incredible program for men too! a great couples program! .

7 days until ovulation which means i’m still feelin okay😇
but when i say okay, i really mean just okay. my mood lifts so much right after my cycle that i get a little manic and shaky and anxious... peep my thumb to see how much i’ve been picking at my cuticles out of anxiety lol (hello bipolar + pmdd combo). i get super motivated which is fun, it’s just hard to accept that it’s not going to last. ☹️ i’d be lying if i said i didn’t enjoy mania. i mean feeling energized and motivated for once? lol count me in✅
remember, it’s okay to feel only okay when you think you’re supposed to be feeling great. you don’t have to blame it on hormones. you don’t have to blame it on mental illness. just be. allow yourself to be okay with being okay.

started the day feeling like i was behind in my workouts.😒
i haven't done any workouts from my new program because we have family in town and we've been spending quality time together.
🌞but i remembered i'm not behind! i got to go to the gym with daniel & got in a good workout, plus i had my 2 scheduled rest/cheat days! (i love this plan)
so, i did my workout today.
full body high intensity interval training.
y'all this was only 20 minutes. twenty minutes.
i gave everything i had.

i took a break this weekend to get myself prepared for these next couple weeks. i haven't took 2 days off in a row in forever! but it felt good to spend a relaxing weekend just working on me.
today i felt strong and decided to do a back and biceps day! i've been having some health concerns that may just boil down to anxiety. but i'm keeping an eye on some things just to make sure. i'll know more probably in the week or so.
while i had to stop a few times to take a breather, i could really feel the burn in what i was doing!
i'm looking forward to working out with super trainer chris downing along with the rest of the gang next weekend! so be on the lookout for pictures from that!
the rest of the day i need to focus on my nutrition. i got one bottle of water in during my workout. now i'm having my shakeology for breakfast. i'm taking healthy snacks with me today and hoping to remember to push my water throughout the rest of the day. eggs and maybe some fruit for lunch. and maybe, some chicken, for dinner.
