I’ve already worn my completed #stannumcardigan quite a bit and am happy with it. The sleeves got a little tighter than I prefer, that’s about all I’d change for next time. The #rowanvalleytweed yarn is very cozy. Thank you for a lovely free pattern
I really love how the fabric of @rowanyarns Valley Tweed yarn blooms - in the third photo blocked and unblocked side by side. A lovely soft fabric with specs of beige and dark blue. #rowanvalleytweed#rowanyarns
Beautiful cardigan from a pattern by @fabelknitwear and hand-knitted by my talented (and generous !) sister. In return I made her a pair of trousers - we share and trade our crafting skills! Cardigan is the Forest Berry Jacket snd it is knitted in Rowan Valley Tweed. #homeknitted#vintageknitting
I wore my finished #magnoliachunky by @camillavaddk out for a walk on Sunday, and it fits perfectly! I’ve definitely caught a knitting bug, I just wish it wasn’t in the run up to summer because I’m gonna want to wear knits the whole time! #camillavad @knitrowanbyme
I recently finished a second version of my half hap shawl. This version is knitted in #ricoyarnswooldegrade and the contrast in the Old Shale border is one strand of #katiayarns mohair degrade with one strand of . This is quite a large shawl as the yarns are DK weight knitted with a 5.5mm needle. The original shawl was knitted in hand dyed fingering weight yarn. The last image shows the difference in size. The shawl uses tradition Shetland lace patterns and is constructed using one of the traditional methods of making shawls. I am teaching a workshop ...
Bobbins, anyone? This centre pull butterfly galore is, finally, my start on @lindamarveng’s beautiful #cambridgecardigan, worked in @Rowanyarns Valley Tweed, in colour ways Hardraw (orange), LIttondale (sand) and Raydale (dark brown). The butterflies are as rather than embroidering the vertical stripes after knitting, I will go with @lorilee.beltman vertical stranding technique. So glad to have finally properly started! #verticalstranding
Which tweed wore it best? . I've got something in the works but I'm having a hard time picking the tweedy yarn I want to use -- they're both so lovely and oh-so different. . @isageryarn Irish Tweed is a whispy blend of wool and mohair while @rowanyarns Valley Tweed is a gorgeous wool with speckled bits of colour. . Thoughts? 🤔 . . . #choosingyarnishard#knitting
I am re-knitting my Shetland Half Hap Shawl. In this version I'm using #ricoyarnswooldegrade and #katiayarns Mohair Degrade with . The original shawl was made using two yarns from purchased from @handmadestudiosyarnshop last year. This shawl is an alternative sample for a workshop on making this shawl @lisswools some time in May - new date still to be confirmed.
My largest WIP at the moment. Braden knitted in ROWAN Valley Tweed, designed by Lisa Richardson. It features set in sleeves and tailored fit. I’m eager to finish this as it will be ideal to wear. I’m knitting 2 skeins together in a versatile moss stitch which gives a fabulous effect. Valley Tweed is a traditional 100% wool tweed yarn. It is spun and dyed in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, the home of Rowan. It is a very lofty yarn due to the special way it is spun and available in 10 beautiful shades 😍 @rowanyarns @lisa_richardson_design #mywip#mylatestwip ...
#fiberuarychallenge Day 18: Project bag. My grandmother gifted me this bag almost 15 years ago when I first started knitting, and it's been with me ever since. It's my only one right now, but since I got the yarn for my #nightshiftshawl I may need another bag for more room!
Thank you @woolwarehouse , ordered one day, received the next day, plenty of additional @rowanyarns’s #rowanvalleytweed to keep me swatching to my heart’s content for @lindamarveng’s beautiful #cambridgecardigan published by @interweavecraft - why don’t all shops indicate their dye lots? Well done you! 👍🏻

We have the lovely Airton cardigan (designer Lisa Richardson) in the shop right now, and this is one you’ll want to try on. Knit in Rowan Valley Tweed, this lightweight piece quietly strikes the balance between feminine and sporty. A pleat in the back gives it a swingy silhouette that works with jeans or slim skirts. You can wear this cardi well into spring and summer!

Ready for blocking. And maybe a pom pom. Loved knitting this. Pattern is Every Flavour by Sarah MacKay from the new book Milarrochy Heids. I love it - it's perfect for two of my winter coats. #winterknits#stashbusting
If I know you, you’re probably getting these for Christmas 🎄The Taxus Mittens by @pinneguri have been coming along a treat and I’m loving the process. There is a bit of puckering because I’m a little out of practise with my stranded colour work, but overall, I’m pretty in love. ————————————————— #knitting#knittersofig shoplocal
Working on some Christmas mittens to give as gifts this year 🎄❄️🎅 using @rowanyarns Valley Tweed I picked up @norfolk_yarn last week. Taxus Mittens pattern by @pinneguri. ————————————————— #knitting#knittersofig shoplocal
I could have spent this snow day finishing this hat. Instead, I accomplished nothing. 🤔 Well, I did wash the slipcovers on furniture, but other than that, I was a slug. #fairestislebeanie#churchmouseyarns
[Ad]My version of the scarf Rust by Sharon Miller (Rowan Magazine 64). I used Rowan Valley Tweed. The yarn changed the style of the scarf. The result is also a gorgeous piece with crafts character. Yarn and stich pattern work absolutely perfect together! @rowanyarns #novembertuch#knitrowanbyme
Today I'm celebrating the 40th anniversary of Rowan with the scarf Rust by Sharon Miller on my needles and beautiful Valley Tweed balls for decoration...I like birthday parties with wool on the table and on the needles - and cake and tea should be there too 😊. ❤❤❤ @rowanyarns #knitrowanyarn#knitrowanbyme
Yep - I’m smiling too 😁 Loving my new delivery of Rowan Valley Tweed! Spun in Britain, this 100% Wool 4ply. Welcome addition to my 4ply selection. I’ll only be stocking a very limited selection of Rowan until (if) they offer more British yarn but this will probably be joined by a new DK coming out in the new year. #rowanvalleytweed
