If you need to increase flexibility in a muscle, you need to stretch and mobilise in a seperate session - i.e. its no good just stretching after a run or workout.⠀ ⠀ Improving flexibility is a long term venture. This lot quite clearly deep in thought after tonight’s session. We went over appropriate warm ups before a race and why you should do it: I hate when races get you to do 20 star jumps then run 10k! When would you ever do that?!?! . . . . So tonight we warmed up then done a 5k handicap session where they treated it like a race and done best effort. 5K PBs tonight for some and lots of improvements and bests for everyone. Amazing to see when everyone is actually improving and their hard work is paying off! ...

It's still winter here in 🇨🇦, but every day we are getting a little closer to warmer weather and Spring races 😃. Why do one evening run, when you can do two.... ran to run club, but realised early into my run I had forgotten my water bottle. This then brought on a phantom stick which I couldn't shake off. Purchased small bottle of water and instantly the stitch disappeared without me even having any water. Crazy how the mind will and can play tricks on you! #mindgames#phantompain

I’ve only been running in Cheryl’s group for around 6 weeks but in that time I’ve gone from dreading going out for a run to really enjoying it and feeling a real sense of achievement when I improve my time on each run. My fitness has quickly improved and I’ve also lost weight. I’ve definitely caught the running bug!
