Day 26 #machine#sewingmachine I am lucky enough to own a Brother Super Galaxie 3000D. It embroiders as well as quilts. I have had it for around 20 years. If I’m being happy honest I don’t use the embroidery part much. My biggest regret regards sewing machines is donating my mums collection of singer sewing machines to the local school years ago. Now of course I would like to get one to teach my granddaughter how to sew.
Day21 #threads#sewinglovechallenge I have so many threads many from the fifties and onwards. I inherit craft stuff. I have recently had a clear out of my threads and I only kept my and and donated the rest to a local care home. Remember to match the thread to the fabric. Cotton to cotton
Day 22 #pdforpaper I am torn with this. I have only recently discovered PDF patterns as I always shows away from all that piecing together but now for children’s patterns I prefer PDF. I can cut the size out and then as they grow I can print another size out so more cost effective. I’m too lazy to do the tracing for each size . However I prefer the paper patterns for adults #sewinglovechallenge
Day 19 #novel I couldn’t choose just one . Both these books inspire me and make me want to sew more. #laura’shandmadelife is a wonderful tale of Laura and as the title says her handmade life. tells a tale of two families and the audio book is perfect to craft to. Both these books give me a warm glow and make me want to sew more. @nataliesfergie
Day 17 #pincushions. The white is one to wear on the wrists. I had a lovely one my friend made but it went missing on a holiday. The black patterned one is a magnetic one whose cover broke and I covered it in duck tape. The square one I made and has a scrap bag attached #sewinglovechallenge
