I’ve been doing a lot of this the past few days. If I don’t slow down and purposefully take a vacation I’ll get sick. So here I am... burned out. I’ve talked a lot about how much I love wide open spaces on here because they speak to my free spirit. I’m really truly just a hippie deep down... I’d roam the earth talking to folks and writing stories if I could earn a living doing that. I can put on my suit, I can rise to any occasion, but really I’m just looking for the next river to sit ...

Life is messy. Even if I sleep in my makeup I’m going to greet the day with my best. I’m not sure where I’m headed but I know God goes before me. Ugh ... no I didn’t edit my eyes. Those are my eyes. #faith#michigangirl
I think this photo is perfect to describe love. It takes hard work, sacrifice, some sharp and hurtful lessons, but absorbs the goodness and draws strength from those times. A cactus stores up water for times it needs it. It also brings protection for animals in the desert like love protects others. A cactus is strong and steady during wind storms. A cactus can even provide lovely fruit to eat. It is a lot like love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I don’t have a fancy camera but I have lots of love for this crazy big world. This is from ALPINE TEXAS last ...

All I want is Marfa. Wide open spaces, yummy food, good locals to chat with, and sunshine... I’ll take the tumbleweed, too. 🙏🏼💕 #me#happy
Banana bread in Mexico is better than banana bread in my home country. It’s just truths, y’all. The Hampton Inn here in CUN is my favorite Hampton Inn EVER. The breakfast is fit for a princess... Hilton Honors Princess. 👸🏼 Sometimes I feel more at home in another country than I do in my own. What does that mean? I’m contemplating that but I can tell you it is a complicated thought... #expatlife#travel
My bed sheets inspired these words. The beautiful and poetic form they unveiled, as I sought refuge in their soft and comforting waves, reminded me of the way my mom hugs me. Tonight, I’m thinking so much of her lovely and angelic face. 💞 I think of her often while I’m on the road because she gets me more than anyone and isn’t it precious to be “known”? She hugged me goodbye before this trip and I simply placed my chin on her shoulder resting in her embrace. She whispered “they don’t get it” and this was a healing balm ...
I do like this airport because it is spacious and not as crowded as most airports I frequent. Did you know PIT is known as the diverted airport of choice for many flights on the east coast? If weather concerns (or other issues) arise during flight that result in a necessary diversion, planes will often be accepted here due to its incredibly long runways. #airport#travel

Most roads have cracks in them just like the journey is speckled with cracks and imperfections and “mistakes”. You just move on... each road has its own lessons. #life#journey
Very rarely do I find quiet zones in airports. This was a surprise for me at ORD in L Con. It was peaceful (also not a word I use for airports). Back to PHL. Perhaps I’ll meet another fascinating individual this time like Luciana last time. The possibilities are endless... #travel#travelphotography
